For those of you who pine for "the good old days," I'd have to say that this winter has been a prime example of those "good old winters" where snow piled up for the duration and the furnace hummed incessantly.
In Michigan it began with heavy snowfalls in November and, with a brief respite in December, continued on through the present. January and February were constantly colder than normal. Here it is in mid-March where our normal high temperatures move from the mid-40s to the high-40s and this is what we've experienced:
The local newpapers run stories about fuel supplies running low for utility companies and the thousands more people who are seeking heating assistance for their homes because of the abnormally cold winter.
Yet, alarmists tell us that warmer weather will doom us all... except it isn't happening. Soon, the tune will change and the alarmists will say they had to exaggerate in order to unite the world in an effort to save us from pollution... or overpopulation... or peak oil.
