Most of us who live in metropolitan areas have heard weather forecasts that go something like this:
Tonight, variable cloudiness with low temperatures in the mid-60s and, in the outlying areas, the mid-50s.Don't you find it amazing how the founders of all of our large metropolitan areas were able to locate the exact spots that stayed 5-10 degrees warmer at night than the "outlying areas?"
There must have been some natural CO2 vents in those spots...
