For those of you who are absolutely certain that we face a horrible future of runaway heat, drought, and disease... here is a safe haven for you.
Michigan has:
- a cool climate
- plenty of water
- good, inexpensive housing
- great universities
- central location and simple access to Canada [which also has plenty of water and often cooler temperatures]
- more golf courses than most of the U.S. states
- great pro basketball, hockey, and baseball teams [and it also has a pro football team that we don't talk much about] plus some pretty decent college football teams
- fine medical facilities [in case some of those global-warmed, disease-ridden, out-of-staters should come in]
Pretty soon it will get cool enough so that we can take our sweatbands off.
