We just had the second 8" snowfall of the season. Fortunately the first one melted away after a couple of weeks. This may take longer now that it is January.
This can of Canada Dry sparkling water was left on the porch and the cold weather blew the lid right off with the expanding liquid. Take a soda can, add the diameter of the lid, and an inch or so to spare. That's the amount of snow that fell. The deck is pretty well protected from wind-drift.
Even with the nice aerodynamic shape of the roof, snow found a way to settle comfortably.
1-1/2 hours later....
Later, I warmed up walking around Costco with my wife.
