Gasoline with ethanol is fairly rare in Michigan... at least around my stomping grounds. So I really didn't pay attention to the pump when I was filling up in Central Florida. I did pay attention when the gas gauge seemed to be dropping precipitously after the fill-up.
Yup, ethanol. Drops the mileage about 5% or so. Therefore, the breakeven price should be about 10-cents per gallon less. It isn't so it isn't.
When we start looking at the alternative energy proposals so vigorously espoused by the Obama gang, you can bet that what ever the breakeven price with our present energy structure is... it won't be so it won't.
