Word is going around that AT&T is the bad guy behind Apple pulling the Netshare iPhone Tethering application. It's completely possible that AT&T wants to wring out every possible penny from the association with the iPhone... so much so that it is willing to risk alienating its customers and partner.
But this just goes to show how poor the research was with regard to customer wants... and the execution to fulfill those wants. Apple wanted to sell iPhones and AT&T wanted to sell bandwidth.You'd like power steering with your car... sign here. Oh, you want windshield wipers? That's another plan. No, the speakers don't come with the entertainment center. Yup, another plan.
