After 4 months of cooler than normal weather, September came in at essentially "normal" or the average was about average. Naturally, the daily variation was considerable, but... normal. So, the overall number of more days below normal than above normal since Feb. 1, 2008 stands at 157... approaching 2/3 of the time colder than normal.
Global warming has taken a definite pause in the northern U.S. The best an "uptick" seems to be able to do is approach normal.

The golf season is over here and it seems as if it hardly arrived.Explain that CO2 thing again... oh yeah, it would have been even colder if it hadn't made it warmer. I think the Queen of Hearts was the one who said that...
Of course, it was warmer than it would have been colder... or was that the Queen of Heats?
