The connection seemed obvious to me... and ironic. As the United States moves toward the European approach of government-controlled, economy-crippling social welfare, Sergey Brin, who co-founded Google, was willing to risk a large loss of revenue for his company to fight for the principle of freedom... freedom to do business without interference from a central government.As The Wall Street Journal reported:
Does it take being born in a country with a strong central government to teach the lesson that freedom is important?
This is not to imply that he is politically aligned with the Tea Party... at least consciously... but it does show that when it gets personally and professionally important, he shares the principle that less government is better.
