The average IQ in Motown may not be all that close to average, but they know their Supremes. So, those from southeastern Michigan will recognize these faces that could be the chosen one for the Supreme Court.
Jennifer Granholm has presided over the punishment inflicted on the State of Michigan for the past eight years. She has repeatedly decreed that the future was bright as long as the state could get more taxes out of business coffers. Business decided that maybe it should just get out.As a Canadian, Ms. Granholm knows about how the U.S. should operate and will certainly do her best to see it follows her homeland model. However, it is not certain that she would follow the Canadian model of aggressively using forests for lumber or drilling for gas and oil. The environment is far too sensitive in the U.S. for the hardy Canadian approaches.
Janet Napolitano is familiar to those in the Detroit area. She blithely declared that the Homeland Security system worked just the way it was supposed to after a whacked out Nigerian set his pants on fire aboard a plane bound for Detroit [even Detroiters know that you don't set your own pants on fire].Billions for a system that works as intended... as long as a Dutch passenger is available to subdue someone intent on blowing up a plane.
Ms. Napolitano's unique perspective of the world should be a fine addition to the Fantasy Land in Washington, D.C.
