Democratic political strategists hope to portray Republicans as opposed to helping small business, flipping the GOP’s long cherished self-identification as strong supporters of small business owners. Senior White House political advisor David Axelrod told Democratic senators in a private meeting Thursday that it would help them politically to cast Senate Republicans as anti-small business. [full story]At issue is legislation to provide loans from a $30 billion pool. Republicans have blocked the measure. So, it does sound like Republicans are anti-business... sounds like it.
Now we ask the basic question: where does the money come from? Answer: taxes. And where do the taxes come from? Answer: small business owners who will be taxed at a significantly higher rate as the Democratic Party controlled Congress and the Obama administration allow the George W. Bush tax cuts to expire in 2011.
That's quite a scam. Take money away from small business in the form of tax hikes so that they can borrow and become indebted to the Federal government for their survival.
Obama: yes we can!
