California Gets Almost 3/4 Of Mortgage Bailout

SEARCH BLOG: GOVERNMENT

Got to hand it to the Obama-Pelosi-Boxer triumverate.  They keep the money among close friends... and close by.

From Reuters:

California to get $18 billion under mortgage deal
California's attorney general said on Thursday her state will receive up to $18 billion in benefits under a federal-state mortgage settlement to be announced later today.
The other 49 states?  $7 billion... or  $140 million or so per state on average.  That's about $300 per person in California and less than $30 per person elsewhere.

Of course, the question is not why is there a disparity.  The question is why is there a redistribution of wealth through the government... once again?

Can you say "electoral votes?"

This is what Rep. Allen West calls the "legalized plunder" by the Federal government.
