Obama's Afghanistan Strategy: We Gotta Do Something Until We Leave

SEARCH BLOG: OBAMA and AFGHANISTAN

Today, it was announced that another three U.S. soldiers were killed by someone in an Afghan army uniform.  No one seems to know who did it or how they got in a position to do the killing.  Naturally, the Taliban takes "credit" for the killings.

Meanwhile, our military under the direction of the Commander In Chief continues to fret about whether or not our soldiers are behaving properly toward these "non-state" combatants.  Can't be too rough with them.  Can't attack them without verifying their proper IDs.  Need to apologize for offending anyone's local customs.

Similar to the Vietnam fiasco, this president has told the opposing forces, "Don't worry; be happy; we're leaving soon."  Well, then why the hell did he ratchet up the conflict in the first place?

Let's be clear: this started out as President George Bush's decision to send troops... which peaked at around 30,000.  President Barack Obama tripled the number of troops in that area and one might ask, "What has been achieved?"  This war only belongs to Barack Hussein Obama now.  Blaming Bush is not an option anymore.
