It's been a few years since I've been to Wisconsin... an overall beautiful state. We had a chance to see some old friends and travel through some idyllic towns and farmland. If you have the opportunity to visit this state, there are a number of nice places to see, but two gems are Lake Geneva and Oconomowoc. Beautiful grand homes and grounds along blue lakes make you simply want to get out of your car and walk around.
Later today, we'll have our reunion along the shores of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee. It's' a city that has grown and changed over the decades. Like all major cities, it has its warts, but it has a lot of good points, too. Still, given a choice, I'd not hesitate to take the calm beauty of those smaller towns.
