SEARCH BLOG: OBAMA.
There are only the final notes of the fat lady's song as November 7 reaches the east coast. The comic opera is over. Now it is time for the tragic opera to begin.
If anything was learned in the past four years, it is that President Obama will implement his agenda without consideration of budgets or legislation. The next four years will be government by executive order and regulation. Congress will become irrelevant. The economy will show minor... maybe modest... improvement, but the trendline is not encouraging for a return to "the good old days" of booming prosperity.
The country will have to face the music soon or the dominoes will fall... and they are big dominoes. The U.S. is moving toward the fiscal debt metrics that define Spain and Greece without the benefit of a Germany to bail us out. Our military is headed downhill quickly in the same fashion as post-Vietnam. The health care industry is about to be twisted out of shape.
The future of the U.S. has been writ large by the voters: Great Britain.
November 6 will mark the official great divide of the United States. There is no hope for reconciliation for the next four years. But the greatest lack of hope is for individual liberty as the central government becomes more and more intrusive and powerful. There will be an enlightenment... but it will be too late.
