When one reads about the infighting and cross-country fighting in the Middle East, one can only conclude that it can be explained as something similar to this.
The Syrians and Egyptians attack themselves, the Turks support Hamas who attacks Israel who is an ally of the U.S. who sends troops to Turkey to man missile defense systems against Syria who supports Hezbollah who has strong ties to Hamas.
