Rep. Bart Stupak [D, MI-1] is leading a group of about 40 pro-life House Democrats who are threatening to vote en bloc against the health care bill [House version?] unless its language prohibiting federal funds for abortions is strengthened. Stupak and his 40 followers are threatening to vote against the rule to bring the bill to the floor unless they are allowed to vote on their abortion amendment on the floor.
